Surrounded by lush tropical flora, Rivendell is a welcome oasis from the bustle of everyday life. Two pavilions linked by tiled walkways and a beautiful pool deck.		The great room is tastefully decorated and designed for easy living. Cool, white slipcovers are the rigueur. Satellite TV, stereo, and wireless Internet access are nice touches.
Multiple conversational areas offer a variety of seating choices. Arched windows and high ceilings with dropped ceiling fans create an old-time plantation feeling.		Three sets of French doors make the transition from great room to the great outdoors nearly seamless.
The large pool deck is just outside, dotted with lush tropical foliage and a stone bench facing the extraordinary north shore view.		Fragrant flowers dot the manicured landscaping and nearby islands line your north shore view.
Jost Van Dyke, Whistling Cay, and Mary's Point are colorful backdrops to the beautiful Caribbean Sea just a short walk away.		A few steps away from the pool, you'll find Rivendell's unique indoor/outdoor kitchen with counter seating, sliding screen windows, stainless steel appliances and under cabinet lighting.
Enjoy casual or elegant dining surrounded by nature’s beauty in the formal outdoor dining area. The table seats six comfortably. A nearby TV is a nice touch.		Step down to pool level to enjoy early morning coffee or after-dinner cocktails poolside. It is easy to fall in love with this way of living.
The azure water views from Rivendell are magical any time of day. It's a tough decision... pool or beach. The pool itself is 11' X 19' and ranges from 3' - 5' deep.		Whimsical nooks and crannies both indoors and out are filled with tropical touches and delightful surprises.
Adjacent to the dining area, an inviting game room sits ready for evening fun.		The air conditioned master bedroom suite is located upstairs in the main pavilion. A four poster king size bed and plantation style furnishings are perfect for the spacious setting.
Windows open to the breezes as you are surrounded by this picturesque slice of paradise.		These fabulous views continue outside the french doors on the adjacent balcony or even from the garden style shower in the master bathroom.
Down a hallway, a office complete with computer, printer, DSL and wireless access sits ready for use. During 2006, the office setup will be relocated downstairs to make way for a fourth bedroom suite!		The conversion will be simple, with this beautiful bathroom already in place, with a spacious bath from Jacuzzi is nestled into an alcove. This is a rare St. John commodity, indeed!
Rivendell's guest pavillion, as seen here from the master bedroom balcony, has a single bedroom suite on each of its two levels.		A queen sized bed, two corner chairs, a large wardrobe, closet, air conditioning, and bedside phone provide creature comforts.
The garden setting with water views peeping through makes waking up in the morning a joy.		Downstairs, the guest bedroom has its own private patio reached through French doors.
Like the bedroom above, a split air conditioner stands ready over the queen sized four poster bed and a mosquito net is provided for the romantics in your group.		Each of the bedrooms have oversized windows to bring the outdoors in, and plenty of space for all your 'things'.
Each bedroom suite has a large bathroom with walk-in showers.		A garden path leads across the front of the villa and provides a short cut to Peter Bay beach, an easy walk from Rivendell.
Crystal clear blue waters, fine white sand and private access set Peter Bay beach apart from most. The waters are usually calm on this palm lined beach.		Rivendell, nestled on the lowest tier of Peter Bay amidst private residences, is a very special place for a relaxing vacation.
